Questions

Straight answers.

The things bar owners actually ask before they sign up — including the ones where the honest answer is a limitation.

How long does setup actually take?

Scan one invoice. Stockedin reads the products, costs, and vendor off it and builds your catalog from there — that's the setup most bars need.

If you'd rather start from what's physically on your shelves, you can scan bottles instead and build the catalog as you count. Either way you're counting the same day, not next week.

Do I need a POS to use it?

No. Scanning, counting, reorder alerts, invoice costs, and reports all work standalone.

Connecting Toast or Focus adds one thing: sales automatically deplete inventory, which is what makes theoretical-vs-actual variance possible. Worth it if you have it, not a blocker if you don't.

Will my staff actually use it?

The daily flow is five buttons in the order a shift happens — receive, move to front, kill bottles, count, close. Staff sign in with a 4-digit PIN, not an email and password.

It's built for the iPad behind the bar first. If a task takes more than a few taps with wet hands, it's wrong and we'd want to hear about it.

How accurate is the inventory between counts?

Beer, cans, and anything that sells 1:1 stay accurate continuously — each sale pulls a unit.

Spirits are theoretical between counts. Stockedin knows what should have poured based on sales and recipes, and your physical count is what reconciles it. That gap is the point — it's where over-pouring and shrink show up.

What happens when the WiFi drops behind the bar?

Counts autosave as you go, so a dropped connection mid-count doesn't lose the work. This is a real failure mode in a walk-in cooler and it's designed for.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and costed waste export in a form your accountant can use directly. Count history is kept per count, so you can always show what was on hand on a given date.

It's your data. There's no export fee and no lock-in.

Is there a free trial?

There's no self-serve free tier — Stockedin is a paid product from day one, which is what keeps it focused on bars that actually use it rather than on sign-up counts.

If you want to see it against your own menu before committing, ask. We'd rather show you than have you guess.

Who's behind it?

Davis Digital Systems LLC. Stockedin is built with real bars, in real bars — every feature on this site exists because an owner asked for it or a bartender tripped over the lack of it.

Didn't answer it?

Ask directly — a real person reads it.
